Opportunities in the media aren’t always well advertised and sometimes aren’t advertised at all. That’s why it’s worth checking on http://www.manchester.ac.uk/careerslink and setting up an email alert so any new vacancies go straight to you. There are several currently on the system, including a graduate scheme with Princes Productions and Shine TV. Yes, lots of others will be applying, but don’t let that deter you – you’ve got to be in it to win it, as they say, and it could be you who’s shortlisted. While you’re about it, check out the Facebook groups for your School (access via http://www.manchester.ac.uk/careers) and look for recent posts.
